AUKETT + HEESE were commissioned to develop a design for a new office building in Berlin‘s Europacity.
Key Data:
• 11,000 m² of office space
• 1.35m planning grid mean efficiency of 0.86
• 1,000 m² retail at street level
• 2 levels of underground parking
The desire for optimal daylight condition in the office spaces has driven the design of the facades: More transparent in the North – creating a face to the adjacent public space; more opaque in the south; the street-facade is a dynamic transition between the two.
AUKETT + HEESE‘s concept therefore achieves two primary goals: Highly flexible office space allowing for all reasonable rental scenarios and tenant layout possibilities. Strong marketability through a unique architectural identity.
