Building Information Modeling – BIM

The client, project management, specialist consultants – everyone involved in the construction process benefits from the BIM method. Building Information Modelling allows information from the model to be transferred directly into lists, documents and calculations. The complete planning system is always up to date and consistent after any amendments. The use of a digital model enables planners and decision-makers to make changes in a timely manner and to identify and eliminate clashes between disciplines.
The use of BIM as a working method has already become established worldwide and represents state of the art in the construction industry. AUKETT + HEESE, as one of the pioneer offices in Germany, recognised the resulting advantages as early as 2006.

Collaboration
The facility to combine specialist models contributes significantly to productive exchange and efficient cooperation between specialist disciplines as well as to constructive communication between planners and clients. This type of communication takes the planning process to a new level, whereby transparency, lack of errors and cooperation playing the most important roles.

Model information, attribution
Essentially, BIM equates to a cooperative working method based on a three-dimensional model provided with alphanumeric information – the Building Information Model. Within this digital structure, each component is assigned key properties – from dimensions to price and delivery date. This means that the digital twin can accompany its actual construction not only during planning and execution, but also through facility management to eventual demolition or conversion.

Transparency
Navigation via digital construction can be made software-independent and uncomplicated for all project participants. It provides decision-makers with a perfect overview of the building project during a virtual tour.
