Zero-Energy Office

AUKETT + HEESE were invited to develop a concept as part of a devloper-led competition for a new office building with 1000+ occupants on a 7,000 m² site in Berlin.

AUKETT + HEESE‘s concept comprised two wings of office spaces on a 1.5m planning grid sandwiching a 10m wide atrium. As well as providing circulation and meeting spaces and feeding the building‘s natural ventilation the atrium brings fantastic flexibility for the future use of the building.

A floating array of photovoltaic panels will help deliver a zero-energy building and a BREEAM excellent certification.
