AUKETT + HEESE were appointed by Tenkhoff Properties to provide architectural design services – work stages 1-5 – for an inner city retail house. The approximately 22,000 sq.m. gross area is distributed over four levels (Basement – 2nd floor) with a fitness centre proposed on the 3rd floor. Primark is the main tenant.

The facade of the former ‘Horten Haus’, and then later Kaufhof, are removed and replaced with a contemporary facade to bring the building a fresh, new identity. The facade will be characterised by a relief of elegant, vertical fields, with an arrangement of opaque and transparent panels.
