Globushof
Office Building
In the heart of Hamburg’s city center, between Nikolaifleet and Großer Burstah, a vibrant new district has emerged in recent years. It combines high-quality residential spaces, modern offices, and attractive retail and dining options. A key part of this development is the listed Globushof office building, which has been given a new lease of life since Allianz AG moved out in 2012.
The project includes a heritage-compliant renovation of the existing building, a two-story rooftop extension, and a new annex. The existing building and annex are planned as a single structure, primarily for high-quality office space. The ground floor and basement of the annex will house restaurants and cafés that bring life to the district.
Aukett + Heese is responsible for the detailed design of both parts of the building. While the rooftop extension was designed in-house, the annex design was taken on by Riemann Architekten from Lübeck.
