The Anna-Lindh-Haus is rising floor by floor: the shell has now reached the 5th upper floor, impressively demonstrating the construction progress. At the same time, the first facade elements have already been installed on the exterior facade of the first upper floor.

As part of a competition organized by the City of Dresden, we developed a revitalization concept for the heritage-listed Robotron Canteen. Our design understands the building as an identity-defining place and carefully develops its architectural qualities. The goal was to preserve the character of the existing structure while opening it up for new uses – as a space for exhibitions, workshops, events, and public engagement.
We conceived the design in two phases: First, the renovation and opening of the ground floor with direct connection to the park. In a second phase, a light, covered addition could strengthen the transition between interior and exterior spaces and create additional, flexible areas. Open floor plans, clear spatial sequences, and mobile elements allow for the most diverse possible uses.
A modular low-budget and low-tech approach, the consistent reuse of existing building components, and passive climate strategies form the foundation of the sustainable concept. The approach to the heritage building is deliberately cautious, with new interventions remaining clearly legible.
Our design received a special mention in the competition – the jury praised it as bold and an expression of visionary thinking.

We are thrilled to announce that the EDGE East Side Tower, realized in collaboration with BIG – Bjarke Ingels Group, ZÜBLIN, and numerous other project partners, has been named a finalist at the MIPIM Awards 2026 in the “Best Workplace Experience” category.
The 140-meter-high office tower spans 37 floors and combines innovative architecture with smart, flexible workspaces. Its bright, open interiors and impressive views provide a high-quality environment for modern work.

On January 14, we celebrated the topping-out ceremony for The Berlinian at Alexanderplatz – an important milestone for this high-rise project.
The Berlinian rises from the existing structure of the former Galeria department store to a height of 146 meters and will become a distinctive part of Berlin’s skyline at Alexanderplatz. Integrating the new building into the existing structure presented a particular challenge. The building combines a mixed-use concept with a clear architectural approach and contributes to the development of this central Berlin location.

The Spandau district office has issued the first building permits for the 60-metre-high office tower and the atrium building in the new Siemensstadt urban district, where, in addition to roughly 2,750 flats, offices, retail space and social infrastructure will be built between now and 2035. Both buildings, which were planned by AUKETT + HEESE within a multi-party agreement, are part of the architectural ensemble that will make up the new urban district’s eastern entrance. Groundbreaking is scheduled for summer 2024.

By 2035, Siemens AG will have transformed a 76-hectare industrial site in Berlin into the future-oriented urban district Siemensstadt Square. On 16 January 2024, the Senate of Berlin submitted the development plan for part of the new urban district to the House of Representatives so that the first phase of implementation can begin.
This will lay the necessary legal groundwork for planning in order to build an open urban district for living and working. With two hubs for production, industrial manufacturing will remain a cornerstone of the location, which has been shaped by industry for over 100 years, and will continue to play an important role in the future. Between now and 2035, a total of 2,750 apartments will be built, at least 30% of which will be rent-controlled, and spaces will be created for social infrastructure, retail and office work.
As object planner within a multi-party agreement, AUKETT + HEESE is responsible for planning the first implementation phase, including a 60-metre-high office tower and a 20-metre-high atrium building, both of which will be part of the future entrance to the district, as well as an information pavilion that will provide residents, workers and interested parties with information about the development of Siemensstadt Square. The draft of the development plan for the first implementation phase has been submitted to the House of Representatives for approval.
Climate and green infrastructure stipulations will regulate rainwater infiltration according to the sponge city urban planning model, including measures for adapting to the effects of climate change such as green facades and roofs.
The planned public transport areas provided for in the draft of the development plan will not only allow for the creation of a low-car district but will also ensure connection to the existing road and pavement infrastructure.

AUKETT + HEESE has been implementing comprehensive modernisation measures at Brenners Park-Hotel & Spa in Baden-Baden, one of the world’s most famous luxury hotels, since 4 October 2023.
As part of this process, we are updating all the building technology as well as replacing the windows and renovating the roof in order to optimise the building’s energy efficiency. Furthermore, the interior design will receive a fresh new look while at the same time maintaining the elegant feel of a classic grand hotel for which the hotel has been world-famous for more than 150 years. Currently, the rooms and suites in the main building are being comprehensively modernised and redesigned.

Hotel opening in Dresden: The Premier Inn Hotel on Prager Strasse in Dresden officially opened its doors to guests on June 16, 2023. With a total of 200 rooms, it is the second Premier Inn in Dresden and the renowned British hotel chain’s 50th hotel in Germany. As part of the repurposing and revitalization of this former department store, we provided tenant coordination on behalf of Values Real Estate.
